Transportation Instructions to Raleigh, North Carolina

1. Information for those traveling by air:

RDU Terminal 1: Southwest Airlines

RDU Terminal 2: Air Canada, American Airlines, American Eagle, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, JetBlue, United Airlines, US Airways

There are two ways to get from the airport to William Peace University in Raleigh.

  1. By Taxi: The taxi ride will be about 30 minutes and will cost $40 to $45 dollars with tip. For reliable taxi service, both to and from the airport, you can pre-book with Mr. Tes Akuma Tel: (919) 345 0783. Feel free to mention Chuck Mays.
  2. By Bus using Triangle Transit: The cost is $2. Visit www.gotriangle.org to plan your trip. On the gotriangle.org website, for “From” use RDU International Airport Terminal 1 or 2, and for “To” use Moore Square Transit Terminal. The duration will be about 34 minutes.  From the Moore Square Transit Terminal take a taxi (approximately $10 with tip), or use the free R-line bus. http://www.godowntownraleigh.com/get-around/r-line .

 Note: The Triangle Transit bus to and from RDU does not operate on Sundays.

2. Information for those traveling by Amtrak Train
The address for the Amtrak station in Raleigh is:

The Amtrak station designation for Raleigh is RGH.

There are two ways to get from the Amtrak station to the venue in Raleigh.

  1. By Taxi: The taxi ride will be about 10 minutes and will cost about $15 dollars with tip.
  2. The free R-line bus:  From the Amtrak station, you will need to walk east on West Cabarrus Street for about 5 minutes to the R-line bus stop.

3. Information for those traveling by Greyhound bus

The address for the Greyhound bus station is:

There are two ways to get from the Greyhound station to Raleigh:

  1. By Taxi: The taxi ride will be about 10 minutes and will cost about $15 dollars with tip.
  2. By city bus: Take bus number one south towards Raleigh.  Exit at Peace Street.  From the bus stop, walk south a short distance and turn right into the William Peace University campus.  The trip will take about 20 minutes.  The cost for the bus is $1.25.

4. Information for those traveling by Car

Use your GPS or an Internet map program to plan your trip.  The following information may be helpful.

  • From the South along the East Coast: (e.g. from Florida)  Use I-95 north to I-40 west.
  • From the South: (e.g. from Atlanta): Use I-85 north to I-40 east.
  • From the West:  Use I-40 east.
  • From the North along the East Coast: (e.g. from Washington, D.C.) Use I-95 South to Highway 64 west.
